Save The Date Wording

Save the date wording can be as casual as you like, it really is just a heads up to keep the date free and allow people to buy air tickets in advance or book holiday from work.  If you are going to have a formally worded invitation, it is best not to have too casual save the dates.

Evening celebration

Usually people do not send a save the date for an evening invitation, but if you would like to make sure people will be available, you can do so, but make it very clear that it is only an invite to the evening reception.
